📦 How to Prepare for a Large-Volume Pickup
Please review the following checklist:
✅ Staging Area Ready
Designate an area (loading dock, conference room, or storage space) for the materials to be picked up. Group similar items if possible.
✅ Inventory List (if available)
Providing a spreadsheet of items to be picked up helps streamline the pickup and ensures accurate reporting and downstream processing.
✅ Data Security Notes
While SBC Recycle performs certified data destruction, please indicate if you have already wiped or removed drives. We will still perform full audit and shredding.
✅ Site Access
Make sure building access, elevator/floor permissions, and any security protocols are coordinated ahead of time.
✅ Point of Contact Onsite
Assign a team member to be present to answer questions or sign chain-of-custody documentation, if applicable.

Business Pickup FAQ
3.1 - Can I also drop off my electronics for recycling?
Yes! You can can drop off your e-Waste at our facility during business hours. This will save you the pickup fee associated with sending a truck out to your location. Keep in mind that you could qualify for a free pickup if you have a large volume of electronics to recycle.

3.2 - Do I need to schedule a drop off appointment?
Nope! You can simply stop by our facility anytime during regular business hour. We have a team ready to help unload your e-waste. We also have a forklift on site for heavy items.
3.3 - Do you pay for electronics?
Yes, SBC Recycle buys a variety of computers, components, peripherals and other related material, we pay fair market value based on the condition of your equipment.
We purchase the following items:
- Electronic components
- Enterprise network equipment – routers, firewalls, managed switches and other appliances
- Laptops
- Test equipment
- LCD and LED displays
- Servers – including blades, workstations, Dell, IBM, HP, SuperMicro
- Telecom – DCO, VOIP, PBX units and handsets
- Projectors and other AV equipment
- Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Lab & medical equipment
- Storage – SANs, NAS – EMC, NetApp, IBM, HP
3.4 - Do you charge to pickup electronics?
The short answer is NO.
The long answer is Maybe.
We generally don’t charge for pickups if you have lots of e-waste that needs to be recycled. This is because the items that get recycled has some value. In fact you may even get a check in the mail. Many of our customers have seen checks ranging anywhere from $100 to $5000 in some cases even more. It all depends on the quantity type and age of the e-waste.
Due to recent changes in the recycling industry, new rules and regulations coupled with increasing labor cost the cost of recycling went up.
Our average cost for recycling is just under a hundred dollars per pickup, this covers the cost for the drivers salary, insurance, workers comp and cost for sorting and final disposition.
3.5 - Will there be someone to help offload the items?
Yes! There will always be an employee eagerly awaiting your drop-off who will assist you in unloading your item(s) and take payment if need be. On the off chance you don’t see an employee, please ring the bell for service and someone will be with you shortly.
3.6 - Do you have a forklift to unload heavy or palletized items?
Yes! We have forklifts onsite to unload heavy or palletized items.
3.6 - Do you pickup on weekends?
Yes, but only on Saturdays. We are always closed on Sunday.
